Excellent

It's great to see our friend Jimmy Chiu back in action! As a long-time fan of Jimmy's movies, it's great to see you're making a podcast! I think using Newgrounds for a form of animated podcasts is a novel idea, and as long as you can keep the humor coming, it'll do very well.

Hope to see the next podcast soon!

SIGNE responds:

Thanks for the vote of confidence, fans like you make it all worthwhile.

Hilarious

I think you did a particularly good job with this rant, illwillpress. I know you get a lot of criticism for your flash, but this was a great topic, and great commentary! I was actually talking about this fake Indie film crap with friends over the weekend, so you really hit the mark. Keep it up!

Good short

Seeing as your other submissions (most notably, timewaster) were excellent flash, I was glad to see this one pop on the Portal. I enjoyed it a lot, even though it was a bit short and left me wanting more.

Graphics were amazing as usual, thanks to your top-notch style. The animations were nice and smooth, and looked very clean and professional.

The actual content was pretty funny, thanks to your "thought bubbles." They, in fact, made the whole flash, as the ending wasn't really funny enough to blow me away. However, that's not to say the flash wasn't funny at all, as it definitely was.

Lastly, as I mentioned before, the flash was quite short and lacked substance. I have a feeling that a few more jokes in addition to the "thought bubble" gag, a longer playtime, and a funnier ending would make the flash front-page quality, but I'm satisfied with what it is.

Great job on the flash, and thanks for the submit!

First, thanks for the thorough review. I'm happy to see you are familiar with some of my other submitions here. The idea about this short came up to me rather randomly (what else can you expect) about a week ago, so I animated and recorded it without thinking too much. I just wanted to see what people think. I'm working on some plots for future episodes, which will be longer of course, and hopefully will make more sense overall. Thank you again for the review, take care, have fun, play with flash and submit more stuff to the portal.

Not bad...could be better

I liked the whole idea, and your graphics (albeit simple) were quite polished. The static in the track really hurt the flash a lot, though, as it detracted from it quite a bit. However, the flash still deserves to be protected.

I'd recommend continuting with this type of flash, as it is pretty nice. Just add more to the background, maybe (some flashing lights or something) and use better quality music.

Good luck with your flash!

Amazing

You really captured the Phoenix Wright game style perfectly. The jokes were great, even if a bit more risque. You need to do more of these.

Thanks for the submit!

MogMage responds:

I will try to get the next part up in some weeks.

Sweet

This was one of the better shorts I've seen in a while. For someone who is too lazy to animate, you certainly do it well. I'd seriously consider taking it up more often as a hobby of choice, because you're really good at it.

Though, for this flash, it did not need to be longer than it was. Any longer would have been kind of boring before the "attack." That being said, I thought the flash was as good as it could be, and I don't really have any recommendations, other than to keep it up with Flash.

Thanks for the submit!

LordCraigus responds:

Thank you very much, this is the sort of comment I was not expecting.

Excellent

Not to sound patronizing, but it is people like you that are changing stick figure animations for the better. Frankly, I think stick fights have come a long way since Xiao Xiao and the many n00b wannabes making their horrible flash.

The scenes you made were a nice touch, as they added a lot of 3D dimension to the fight. Also, your blur effects really brought the flash to life. I really enjoyed the flash! My only suggestion is to keep making them!

Thanks for your submit!

LOL

Rather interesting...graphics weren't a charmer, but the flash made me laugh my ass off! Also, the voice acting made it great.

I still say Slash sounds like an overzealous pirate. :-)

Good job!

AfroUnderscoreStud responds:

Only a 9? =(

Slash sounds like a flaming faggot.

Thanks for the review(though a 10 would have been nicer >=P)

Very nice

I enjoyed it a lot! I love the style of your animation, especially your "ninjas." I'd love to see more flash from you, so please keep submitting flash!

Thanks for the submit!

Jasmerrin responds:

Thanks for your feedback! It's nice to know I have a "style". The truth is, though, that this was my first real movie like this. I'm still trying out different animation methods. I will, though, try to make more like this one, since people seem to like the overall "style".

Loved it

"Sorry, but my sympathy is in another castle!"

That quote was the best part! Overall, the sprite animation was excellent, and everything was VERY clean. Also, the Totally Atomic 360 Piledriver was a nice touch. :-)

Please keep up the flash...we need great animators like you frequenting the Portal!

Thanks for your submit!
